Artists like Dizzee Rascal are UK artists that have made it big from having songs like "bonkers". Even though his song does not have any specific lyrics, it is a big hit in the clubs as it has a loud base, upbeat tempo and goes down well with party's. Ms dynamite's "wile out" is similar to Dizzee Rascals "bonkers" as they are both about the beat and base as opposed to the lyrical content and meaning. This is another song that we looked at when we were looking at ideas from the video as it follows the same theme of just going out and having a good time. Bright colours are used through out the video so portray happiness and this is a technique that we then applied to our own video as it had a similar concept. We concidered doing bonkers as our song but we believed that we liked the bonklers video the way that it is because it looks simple but it took so much time to put it all together.
When we saw the wile out video we didn't believe that the video was so amazing as it was what is expected of a video and we thought that we could do a better job and bring out the concept of the song in a very different way. We think that watching so many different music videos helped us with our end product and made us able to be critical of our own work as we then understood what was a good video and what was not such a good video. The bonkers video is a video that is very cleverly put together in terms of editing and we did not have that sort of technology so there was no point trying to compete with the video as it was brilliant the way it was. if the video was not so good this would have been the video that we picked because it went perfectly with the theme that we wanted to go with of feeling good and not caring hat people say. We looked into Dizzee Rascals other videos but we were not too impressed with the others but we did not like the songs either which is why we just thought we should stick to the wile out song instead.
